*** Contingent upon Program Funding *** Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will support the current and evolving Strategic Systems Engineering Services (SSES) efforts for the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) Customer. The SED, within the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM), has development and support responsibilities for myriad weapons systems and related support systems with associated enhancements. Specifically, the Program Manager would lead a variety of Technical Directives within one of five domains (Aviation, C3 & Interoperability, Mission Test Support, Missile Defense Systems, or Support Systems). Position Summary: Raytheon CSI is seeking a self-motivated, experienced, and driven Software Test Engineer capable of supporting multiple system-level software projects in a variety of environments. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for verifying the proper usability and reliability of software, as well as managing any deficiencies through the testing lifecycle. Many of Raytheon CSI's projects are undertaken by small teams in close coordination with all team members and customers while following Agile/SCRUM methodologies. Therefore, testing is a continuous process that often takes part in parallel with development. The Test Engineer must have the ability to quickly learn new technologies to support his/her projects and in some cases have the ability to support multiple projects. Competitive candidates will share many technical attributes with that of a Software Developer however, he/she will likely find more enjoyment in breaking software than fixing it. This is an engineering position and will not be a solely black box testing position. Required Skills/Experience: Minimum of 1-4 years applicable experience that includes either: 2+ years of iOS testing experience OR 1+ years of Android testing experience Experience testing system-level applications which may or may not have a graphical user interface Proficiency in some modern programming and / or scripting language. Job Description: The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. The role requires the candidate to: - Work individually or as part of a team - Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results - Resolve software problem reports - Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment - Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for: - Maintaining and enhancing applications software for highly complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems that require signals collection - Detection, demodulation, geo-location, and emitter identification modifications - Researching and implementing enhancements to signals collection and processing systems using government provided references and system design documentation - Creating or modifying administrative and systems software, algorithm design, test data generation, and data analysis - Integrating COTS products, maintaining program libraries, and creating system manuals and documentation.
