Job Description


JOB DESCRIPTION: The Sensor Operator is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) working within a specialized crew environment who uses background knowledge as well as various electro-optic and infrared systems to provide the customer with guidance and recommendations.  The Sensor Operator is responsible for real-time collection of electro-optic / infrared (EO-IR) full motion video (FMV) and analytical expertise to support real-time tactical exploitation.

TOP SECRET / SCI clearance is required.   This job entails regular shift work with a schedule that is dynamic in nature.   No overseas deployment is required.  Shift differential pay is included under specific circumstances.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related sensor operator experience. Must have formal service training as a sensor operator as well as familiarity and working knowledge of state-of-the-art ISR applications, tools, and systems. Must show demonstrable exploitation, interpretation, and analysis experience with EO-IR FMV imagers.  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and an ability to complete assignments with little or no supervision.  Flawless history in handling classified materials in and around controlled facilities.

DESIRED SKILLS: Recent experience in U.S. CENTCOM AOR.  Tactical military aircrew experience in OIF / OEF.  Experience with multiple sensor types.  Knowledge in PFPS/FalconView.  Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical discipline.  A demonstrated technical understanding of military communications networks and computer systems.   

Travel: ~10%.  Position does not deploy outside CONUS.
