The Defense and Intelligence Group has a current opening for a Counterintelligence Analyst at our Customer site in Springfield, VA.
Job Description: The successful candidates will coordinate and participates in the analysis, processing, and distribution of strategic and tactical counterintelligence; solve difficult technical problems. Provide long-range analytical forecasts of threats against our Customer and recommend countermeasures. Provide CI analysis supporting international agreements involving geospatial intelligence and sharing of the same. Assimilate, evaluate and interpret all-source information related to our Customer from an operational security perspective. Publish finished intelligence of this information on a scheduled and ad hoc basis, with recommendations for countermeasures. Prepare briefs, as required, related to any or all of the above subject matter for delivery to internal and external audiences at the executive level. Liaise with members of the DoD, the IC, and appropriate law enforcement entities to keep abreast of current CI issues as required. Conduct internal liaison with our Customer components to ensure a ready exchange of CI information to and between the appropriate parties identified by the government.
Provide integration of CI support into NGA's Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) policies and initiatives. Conduct CI Red Team activities, to include open source and alternative analysis from the perspective of an adversary with the objective of identifying vulnerabilities impacting NGA's processes, policies and personnel. Conduct threat briefings and formal debriefings specifically tailored to NGA travelers to foreign locations (and geospatial-related conferences and symposia involving foreign official representation/attendance) for purposes of determining foreign intelligence services (FIS) threats/interest in agency personnel and for ensuring travel briefs are current and tailored to NGA personnel. Apply in-depth knowledge, understanding of, and experience to support the Office of Global Support (OGS) outside the continental United States (OCONUS) travel team, NGA site security, and NGA's TravelNet database and related search, query, and analytical applications in support of NGA's OCONUS travelers. Education: Bachelor's Degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Required Skills: Graduate of an accredited U.S. Government CI Badge and Credential Course.
Understanding of DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) security regulations, directives and policies required.
Candidate must demonstrate an ability to work independently and function effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Must possess excellent planning and analytical skills; will provide research and analysis support to the Counterintelligence Cyber Operations Branch.
Strong organizational skills, to include timely delivery of finished products.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in writing and grammar including the ability to edit and proofread. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
