Applicants will perform systems administrator duties on Microsoft WDX / SQL, UNIX and potentially Red Hat Linux platforms at the Air Force Squadron level. Duties will include installing, configuring, securing and maintaining servers, workstations and storage equipment; operating system and third party hardware / software installation, system upgrades, setup of file systems, resolution of software problems with operating systems and/or third party products, database backups/restores, hardware repair coordination, performance monitoring, configuration management, and system recovery. The candidate will work with users to assess their needs, provide information or assistance to resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; based on current knowledge of MS and UNIX computer systems. They will provide SAN and disk array administration support, including NetApp filers and Cybernetics backup equipment; monitor and manage daily backups to ensure successful completion; and create and maintain scripts designed to automate administrative tasks. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related technical discipline, or five (5) years of experience in UNIX administration and either possess or have the ability to obtain DoD 8570 certification requirements (i.e., Security+). Within last eight (8) years, the candidate must possess five (5) years of demonstrated experience in MS and UNIX systems administration.
Cert: MCSA MS SQL 2008 or later
MS Server 2008R2 or later as well as MS SQL 2008 or later
Script/CCRI Compliance Administrator
Experience: Powershell and VB.net scripting, CCRI, DISA STIGs
TS/SCI clearance will be required to perform assigned duties
