Applicants will develop processes to procure, track and control government-off-the shelf (GOTS) and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software at the Air Force Squadron level. Applicants will support over 500 users encompassing desktop applications, networking, and telecommunication operations and requirements. The applicant will develop plans to integrate new software procurements while closely collaborating with financial resource advisors and information system security managers (ISSM). Applicants will receive, inventory and control new software; inspect all items to ensure they properly identified, in good condition and properly classified; accept items (as required) and ensure they are properly stored and accounted for to include secure handling and storage of classified and sensitive items; and coordinate with configuration managers, Information Assurance Officers and enterprise architects for software integration. These duties also include but are not limited to customer interactions to verify software requirements are met; schedule and participate in software installations; coordinate on software problem reports, change requests and resulting version updates; manage software procurements, license agreements and warranties in accordance with governing procurement software sustainment and cybersecurity directives; and coordinated with vendors for technical support and training. Applicants will work with planners and contracting offices using AF FORM 9s to procure software and pay sustainment fees; and track / report procurement developments and maintenance contract statuses through all stages of procurement and life cycle development ensuring proper time for contract office actions. Applicants must possess strong organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated customer service experience; and capable of working individually and collaboratively to resolve problems and implement software life cycle improvements.
Applicants will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer, information technology, and engineering or information management related field; at least 5 years’ experience in the management of DoD classified operating systems; and a DoD 8570.01-Manual IAT II-level certification. TS/SCI security clearance is required to perform these duties. MCSA and MSCE certifications are highly desired.
