Job Description


The Inventory Specialist will be a member of the NMIC Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES) team and will serve as the Inventory Specialist for the Maritime Intelligence Environment (MIE) Systems Support Task.This work is in Suitland, MD.     

This opportunity requires up to 50% travel; an active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this opportunity.  

Duties include:

• Managing highly sensitive and complex inventory of goods across multiple disciplines. 

• Establish an efficient supply chain that meets customer and vendor requirements through multiple locations

• Develop, maintain, and oversee the execution of maintenance and repair schedules of all equipment as required

• Develop logistic plans to achieve specific timeline requirements

• Create and execute policies and inspection guidelines as necessary 

• Be able to handle potentially complex logistical issues, to include creating solutions through research, planning, implementation, execution, and assessment cycle. 




BS/BA and 4+ years in logistical tracking, and management of equipment of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered on lieu of degree.  

Security+  (or higher level of certification) in conjunction with the DOD Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program requirements, DOD 8570.01-M 

Effective oral and written communications skills

Must possess knowledge of MS products and capable of maintaining complete and accurate inventory. Able to resolve discrepancies in existing inventory.
