The PME Maintenance Manager directs all PME (Primary Mission Equipment) maintenance activities for assigned SS-AISR Program involving different variants of ISR aircraft. Manages associated support equipment, technical manuals and training for PME technicians. Coordinates with logistics for appropriate level of PME spares. Directs PME maintenance schedules around operations personnel. Generates maintenance status and associated risks for Senior Staff and Government Contracting Office. Tracks PME maintenance trends and makes recommendations to the Program Manager for solutions.
Oversees the performance of aircraft maintenance; plans maintenance resources to best support the flight schedule; ensures that all maintenance tasks and repairs are properly recorded. Facilitates, plans and executes system modifications and life cycle upgrades.
Coordinates with Flight Operations and other stakeholders for the scheduling of PME maintenance to coincide with mission priorities; schedules and conducts training programs for maintenance personnel; strives for quality levels of the highest standards as prescribed by Federal Aviation Regulations and working safety standards. Manages PME rotation schedules to ensure proper levels of support staff at all times. Reports to the SS-AISR Deputy PM for PME maintenance priorities and program direction.
Bachelors Degree in a Technical, Intelligence or Business Program, 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
ISR Experience involving mission system operations and maintenance.
Seven (7) years aircraft/Primary Mission Equipment maintenance experience.
Held previous position managing direct reports, timecards, expense reports and associated Corp. and Govt. administrative requirements.
Must be thoroughly familiar with all Aviation methods, techniques and equipment used in their specialty to maintain the airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance or alteration.
8570 Compliant (Security+ & OS System Certification)
Familiar with DCMA 8210 and associated GFR processes/procedures
Experience with standalone and remote networks for ISR aircraft.
FAA A&P License
Familiar with current specifications and technical data involving the maintenance procedures as well as other forms of information such as FAA regulations, Service Bulletins, etc.
