Job Description


The Engineer will provide the execution of systems engineering projects with routine engineering and Tier IV escalations.  Install and configure VMWare VSphere VCenter 6.5 and all components on "bare-metal" hardware devices as well as in virtual infrastructure environments and Composer and load-balance Connection Brokers.  The Engineer will provide full lifecycle support for systems engineering tasks as well as hands-on implementations of high profile projects, performance of core IT functions including data communications and

network-based applications and services.





The Engineer will perform advanced technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.  Design, plan, and execute significant IT projects to deliver new and upgraded capabilities to support Joint Staff requirements. Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer and product requirements into total systems solutions of maintaining Information Security at all times.





The Engineer is a member of the Systems Integration Support Team and will balance, install and configure Load-balanced VMware Single Sign-on servers. Install and configure VMware View.  The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and understand the importance of Client service.  The work location is within the Joint Staff, NSA Norfolk, VA. This position will require solid but innovative thinking.




- DOD 8570.01m IAT Level II certification

- Security+CE

- Current Microsoft server operating system certification

- Current VMWare VCA or VCP certificate

- Active Secret SSBI clearance or higher

- HS diploma without a degree and 6+ years of experience

- BS degree with 4+ years of experience or

- MS degree with 2+ years of experience
