Leidos is seeking a Systems Administrator Site Supervisor in Kansas City, MO for an Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) Information Technology (IT) program.
Provides support to an enterprise management system. Performs monitoring and management of mainframes, networks and workgroup servers. Manages and oversees the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Oversees the setting up of administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, oversees installation and backup recovery. Manages the development of policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ensures the availability of the data network, and may assist in coordination of network-oriented projects.
The Site Supervisor represents a highly visible Technical and Administrative management presence. The Site Supervisor possesses the technical skills, experience and leadership necessary to make decisions that ensure the highest level of guaranteed service to USACE. Will ensure that adequate resources are allocated to the correctly prioritized and scheduled work, and that our customer is fully informed on technical issues. Our staff, both Leidos and subcontractors, will follow the technical and administrative lead of the designated Site Supervisor.
*Manages and monitors local server infrastructure to ensure consistent operation
*Primary POC for local server, network and telecom repair of district infrastructure components.
*Coordinates local response to IAVA vulnerability remediation.
*Responsible for SLR Performance.
*Collaborates with the local ITC and Ops Officer to ensure the needs of the local ACE-IT user are understood and appropriately addressed.
*Coordinates Level 3 support to the district technical personnel.
*Primary escalation POC for after hours and VIP level support requests.
*Ensure the work schedules of Leidos and subcontractor employees are established, documented and coordinated to provide coverage during contractually required operating hours.
*Review current workloads and ticket distribution. In coordination with ITC, reassigns priorities to ensure service delivery metrics are met.
*Responsible for monitoring the technical performance of Leidos and subcontractor staff and report exemplary or disciplinary performance to the Leidos Division Manager.
*Monitor the effectiveness of Service Delivery to the local site and report discrepancies and escalations to the Leidos Division Manager
*Provide weekly performance reports to the ITC and the Leidos Division Manager.
* Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
* 4+ years’ experience
* Current DoD 8570 Certification, IAT Level II (Comptia Security +CE and 1 qualifying Computing Environment certification (For example, Microsoft MCP certified, Comptia A+)
* Interim Secret Clearance required prior to start
* Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor.
* Strong analytical and follow through skills.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills.
* Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments.
* Ability to work well independently on defined tasks.
* Windows Server 2012; Active Directory
* Networking Technologies (DNS, DHCP, WINS)
* Cisco Telephony /Router Solutions.
* Experience maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices (i.e. installing maintenance kits).
* Prior USACE/ACE-IT experience.
* Experience working in a DoD environment.
