Leidos is seeking a Software Developer/Coder to work at a customer site in Keyport, WA.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Navy Cyber Support mission. In this mission we support Assessment and Authorization (A&A), software analysis, software development, vulnerability assessment, software reverse engineering, fiber cabling and penetration testing. The Software Developer will provide engineering, test, analysis and support services in support of software development life cycle (SDLC). Provide IA implementation and sustainment support during software upgrades and patch developments, integration, analysis, testing, certification, fielding, and operations. Provide system security engineering, software functionality testing and technical support during IA Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA). The Software Developer/Coder will assist in the evaluation of system operational design, system integration, and configurations in accordance with applicable IC, DoN and DoD standards and policies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Software Developer/Coder will provide software development support, testing and IAVA compliance activities. Monitor the changing threat environment and reports on new IA vulnerabilities. Assisting the development of software upgrades and IA patches needed to eliminate or reduce the threat. Support the IA Controls security test and evaluation (ST&E). Review guidance and report after dry-run, making changes to the security posture prior to final testing. May be responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications and applying frameworks involved in a software release. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product.
- Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- BA/BS in field of Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and 4+ years total work experience (or 2+ years with MS degree). 4 years equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Communicates with internal and client project team members. Works to influence/form consensus with team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
- Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas.

Ability to effectively present technical information to reviewers in oral and written formats.
DoDD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management Policy IAT-II certification such as CompTIA Security+ ce.
Familiar with the Joint Air Force-Army Manual (JAFAN) 6/0, Special Access Program Security Manual; Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual (DoD Manual 5105.21); Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual (DoD Manual 5205.07) Volumes 1-4; and any subsequent Implementation Guides.
Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
Familiar with both static and dynamic software analysis tools (e.g., Coverity, Fortify, Klocwork, Checkmarx, etc.).
