Raytheon’s DOMino contract is a single-award IDIQ with a $1.15 billion ceiling. This contract delivers full lifecycle development and sustainment for the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) National Cybersecurity Protection System (NCPS). The NCPS assists more than 100 federal civilian government agencies with the protection of their networks against advanced cyber threats. Under this contract, Raytheon will support the government in the design, development, operations and maintenance services for the NCPS. Raytheon will build the mission critical cybersecurity solutions that will enable the timely dissemination of threat warnings and improve information sharing across DHS’s stakeholder community. Positions would be located in Pensacola, FL and Arlington, VA, others across the nation.
The Network Engineers maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks. They plan, evaluate, coordinate and perform installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication networks. The right candidate will maintain technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks, hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. They may propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements are met, based on future needs and current usage, and configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. They will prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, and provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. In addition, they may coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment and design networks, or portions of networks that include selection of hardware and software packages.
This position may require shift work.
Minimum Required types of Skills and/or Experience:
DoD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I required (A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)
DoD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level II (GSEC or Security+ CE)
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering or a related discipline is required
A Master's degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience
Four years of experience (for a total of six (6) or more years) may be substituted for a degree
