Raytheon is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment with new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Raytheon CSM is seeking a Data Architect to serve as the Subject Matter Expert regarding the content of cybersecurity data, current and potential future uses, and the quality and interrelationship between core elements of the cybersecurity data repositories and related products.
·Directs the organization of requirements and data into a usable database schema by designing ad hoc queries, scripts, macros, and updates to existing queries
·Directs the overall database structures to match the architecture of the system under development and makes trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controls
·Advises on the organization of requirements and data into a usable database schema by directing development of ad hoc queries, scripts, macros, updates to existing queries.
·Directs the development of complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity and database storage and retrieval methodologies
·Supervises the overall database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controls.
·Directs fulfillment of requirements from a project’s inception to it conclusion
·Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (SSBI within the last 5 years)
·Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
·Must have 10 years of professional experience or 8 years with a Master’s degree or 6 years with PhD in a related discipline.
·DoD 8570.1 IAT Level 2 certification or the ability to obtain certification within three months of employment.
·Must have strong data modeling, schema design, and database engineering experience.
·Experience and/or familiarity with Apache Hadoop, Spark, PostgresSQL, MySQL or Oracle
·Demonstrated experience with data migration from legacy systems to new repositories
·Knowledge of industry standard exchange schema implementation experience
·Experience with development and execution of database security policies, procedures and auditing-experience with database authentication methods, authorization methods, and data encryption techniques.
·Evaluate and install new software releases, patches and system upgrades.
·Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of database tuning: software configuration, memory usage, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage.
·Possess good communication skills, both oral and written and works work well in a team environment as well as independently.
·Experience with database engineering support to DHS, DoD or Intelligence Customers
·Data Scientist skills and experience
·Experience working with large unstructured data sets
·Experience with Map/Reduce technologies
·Experience with process development and deployment
·Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) or Cloudera Certified Associate (CCA)
·Understanding of Certification and Accreditation (NIST 800-53) processes as they apply to database technologies
·ITIL knowledge and certification
·Experience with agile development methodologies
