Job Description

Raytheon Blackbird Technologies is looking for an individual who will join the security team of a major nationwide organization, with thousands of sites, to continually improve its complex multi-protocol nationwide network. An expert with Security Operations Centers (SOC), Cyber Security Operations Centers (CSOC), and Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) experience, needed to support the customer team. The ideal candidate for this job will be an experienced information security practitioner who is goal-oriented and strives to exceed expectations.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.
  • Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
  • Encodes project requirements by converting work flow information into computer language.
  • Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
  • Documents reference operating guides.
  • Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
  • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Skills:
  • The position requires U.S. Person status or a Non-U.S. Person be eligible to obtain Authorization.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust – and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience for an G08
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience for an G09
  • General Programming Skills, Analyzing Information , Problem Solving, Software Algorithm Design, Software Performance Tuning, Attention to Detail, Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Development Fundamentals, Software Documentation, Software Testing
  • Experience – Python, SQL, shell scripting
  • Expert Knowledge in Excel
  • Experience with ServiceNow and SharePoint
  • Experience supporting multiple locations
  • 2 years of Network Operations Center (NOC) experience.
  • Communication and team skills

Required Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education.

Desired Certifications:
DODI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level II;
