Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community
The IT Specialist Sr. will support an enterprise Information Technology O&M program in Chantilly, VA. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring a 24/7 Tech Control Center. The successful candidate installs, checks out, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies IT equipment such as routers, switches, multiplexors, and other various types of IT equipment. Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action. Candidate will collect performance metrics and routinely verify the programming of network devices to ensure compliance with customer network instructions. Candidates will interface with both internal and external customers within the area of responsibility which includes trouble tickets, message handling, and telecons.
The team member will work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule - this includes working days, nights, weekends and holidays as required by tasking.Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills
•Experience working in a tech control environment
•Experience in installing and programming Cisco and Juniper routers and/or LAN switches
•Experience in working in a Tech Control Environment. Must be willing to work a rotating 12 hour shift schedule, including working days, nights, weekends and holidays as required
•Requires an active and current TS/SCI with CI poly
•Must have current Security+ certification and become 8570 IAT Level II certified within 6 months of start date if not already certified.Current TS/SCI with CI polyDesired Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
•Experience troubleshoot and installing IP networks
•Experience installing and programming Promina multiplexers
•Experience troubleshooting leased line services.Required Education (including Major):
High School Diploma or GED 107000
