The Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) Hardware & Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team is looking for a Principal Engineer to lead the hardware and Infrastructure design of a Cyber Protection system for our customer. The Principle Engineer will be responsible for management of technical, cost and schedule performance on the program. The ideal candidate for this role will be well versed in the design of COTS infrastructure services, be able to direct engineering teams to accomplish the design, documentation, installation, configuration, and integration of COTS hardware and software products, including automated deployment methods. He/She will also be a self-starter, be able to troubleshoot complex problems, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to internal management and customer audiences. The candidate must be a US Citizen who has the ability to obtain a US Government DoD Secret clearance. Required Skills:·Experience in leading teams of 5-15 engineers ·Understanding of industry standard system architecture and network tools·Experience with Infrastructure services and Cyber network design·Experience in the design of mission critical storage solutions as well as backup recovery solutions·Experience in the architectural design and deployment of virtual processing systems. ·Expertise with network storage architecture and technologies. ·Demonstrated ability to work with a complex engineering team·Understanding of systems security with experience hardening systems to IA standards, e.g. DISA STIGSs·Experience managing technology strategy / roadmap.·Expertise in large scale network operations center design and operation·Ability to obtain a US Government DoD Secret Security Clearance US Citizenship required·Certifications in one or more of the following: DODI 8570.1 Compliance at IAT Level I; CISSP or CASP
·10+ years of related work experienceDesired Skills:·Earned Value Management (EVMS) Certification ·Experience supporting International Customers·Relevant industry-based certifications, e.g., Cisco, SANS, Brocade, VMware, etc ·Experience designing and deploying Network Operations Centers·Experience with one or more of the following: SONET, MPLS, Switch Fabric·Experience with one or more of the following: VMware vCenter, vCloud, vSphere, Horizon, vMotion.·Experience with one of more of the following: Microsoft Server 2008, Server 2012, Active Directory, Red Hat Linux, McAfee Enterprise Security Suite.·Experience with one or more of the following: Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), Hewlett Packard Blade System.Education Requirement:Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering or related technical discipline plus 8 years related experience. Two years of additional related work experience may be substituted for each year of a degree level education.
