Raytheon is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats.<?xml:namespace prefix="o"?>
Raytheon Cybersecurity and Special Missions (CSM) is seeking development-focused Network Engineers to support the design, development, and deployment of a new DevOps infrastructure and advanced cybersecurity capabilities.
·Collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the design and implementation of advanced cybersecurity capabilities, including the selection of hardware and software and the design of infrastructure services required to enable the cybersecurity capabilities.
·Maintaining current knowledge ofhardware and software applications
·Conducting trade studies, to determine possible system (hardware, software, architecture) improvements.
·Developing high quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items and supporting product line training.
·Must have U.S. Citizenship
·Must have a Top Secret Clearance with a SSBI within the last 5 years, TS/SCI Preferred
·Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
·Must have 6 years of professional experience or 4 years with a Master’s degree or 2 years with PhD in a related discipline for an E04. Must have 4 years of professional experience or 2 years with a Master’s degree for an E03.
·DoD 8570.1 IAT Level 2 certification or the ability to obtain certification within three months of employment.
·Must have strong Infrastructure Engineering experience including Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware, TCP/IP networking, encryption, firewalls, IDS/IPS, host-based security, DNS, Directory Services, Storage, Cloud-based environments (AWS, OpenStack), and SNMP-based network management
·Experience and/or familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and risk assessments.
·DoD 8570.1 IAT Level III certification preferred
·Infrastructure-related certifications preferred such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), VMware, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Cloud Essentials
·Experience with network infrastructure troubleshooting tools
·Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques and associated mitigation techniques
·Experience and/or familiarity with DevOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration concepts, and tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Rational Team Concert, JIRA, Git, Chef, Ansible, and Puppet
·Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
·Certifications related to Agile development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Practitioner (SP) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
This position will either be a Sr. Network Engineer II (G09) or a Sr. Network Engineer I (G08) depending on the candidates qualifications.
