Job Description

This is a multi-level position BB93 PC/Client Server Analyst I or BB94 PC/Client Server Analyst II based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.

This positon is responsible for providing system administration for desktops and users in classified areas working as a member of a system administration team. This will involve initial system installations, system re-imaging, data recovery, hardware diagnostic testing, and network printer setup. Primarily customer interaction resolving immediate support issues for the engineering community via help desk systems and task assignment.

Minimum Required Skills:

Bachelor degree in IT or a related field
Working experience of Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008 including: application installation, Active Directory and Organization Units
Knowledge of data backup systems, principles, and safeguards
Working knowledge of Linux Red Hat and Linux CentOS
Familiarity with Antivirus software and security settings
Able to describe PC architecture and operation
Familiarity with TCP/IP, network switches, firewalls, routers, and their basic operation
Must be able to lift 15 pounds
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
Occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours

Highly Desired Skills:
One or more industry certifications, such as Security +, Network +, or any DoD 8570.1 Certifications
Familiar with Linux operating systems to include installation, network configuration, and performance monitoring
Experience with license managers in Windows and Linux environments
Use of Windows Event Monitors in system analysis
Effective customer service skills, including oral and technical written communications
Must be able to assist in development of solutions, and appropriate documentation, to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Proven ability to work with general supervision and follow established procedures
