Job Description

Raytheon is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

Raytheon CSM is seeking a development-focused Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Chief Security Engineer in the design, development, and assessment of new cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities Include:

·Assisting the Chief Security Engineer and the Development teams in the development, integration, and testing of new advanced leading-edge cybersecurity capabilities.

·Collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the security design and implementation of advanced cybersecurity capabilities

·Interfacing directly with the Customer, stakeholders, and end-user regarding capability requirements

·Analyzing user feedback, requirements, CONOPS and high-level system architectures to derive, develop and decompose next-cycle updates and specifications.

·Conducting trade studies, to determine possible system (hardware, software, architecture) improvements.

·Developing, testing, and provisioning countermeasures and mitigations

·Developing technical documentation, including incident reports, security recommendations, user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items


·Must have a Top Secret Clearance with a SSBI within the last 5 years, TS/SCI Preferred

·U.S. Citizenship required.

·Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

·Must have 4 years of professional experience or 2 years with a Master’s degree or 0 years with PhD in a related discipline.

·DoD 8570.1 IAT Level 2 certification or the ability to obtain certification within three months of employment

·Strong experience with one or more of the following:

oSecure infrastructure and software architecture and design

oRisk Management Framework (RMF) with experience developing Certification and Accreditation documentation

oCyber hardening techniques for Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, network devices and appliances.Familiarity with DISA STIGs

oDesign of Security Information Event Management solutions in large-scale environments

oInsider Threat Monitoring

oThreat Intelligence

oExperience in intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), log analysis, malware analysis, network traffic flow and packet analysis.

oVulnerability Assessment testing

oSecure Coding principles and static/dynamic code analysis tools

oIdentity, Credential, and Access Management techniques, including Public Key Infrastructure

oCross Domain Solutions

oAdvanced Malware Analysis

oReverse Software Engineering

oAttack reconstruction, computer/network forensics, review of threat data and investigate security incidents

oComputer Network Exploitation (CNE)

oComputer Network Operations (CNO)

Desired Skills:

·DoD 8570.1 IAT Level 3 certification

·6 years of professional experience desired

·SANS/GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) certification.

·CEH certification

·Experience with Security Event Incident Management, Risk Management, Log Correlation and Network Behavior Anomaly detection systems (ArcSight, QRadar , Splunk, Mazu, Arbor, etc.) ArcSight ACSA or ACASA certification is a plus. Familiarity with RSA Archer is a plus

·Experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following: Java, Swing, Hibernate, Struts, JUnit, Perl, Ruby, python, HTML, C, C++, .NET, ColdFusion, Adobe, Assembly language, etc.

·Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with VMWare and virtual machines.

·Ability to write custom tools and modify existing intrusion detection tools.

·Experience with Agile development methodology.

·Prior operational experience working as a member of an incident response, vulnerability assessment, or malware analysis team
