Job Description

This position is responsible for the administration of the National Industrial Security Program under the direction of the Facility Security Officer (FSO). The candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of security tasks at the assigned facility and for ensuring company and customer security requirements are met. The position requires a self-motivated candidate that is capable of working in an independent or team environment with minimal direction. Responsibilities include personnel security, document control, badge and ID functions, support of customer assessment, implementation of security measures, and other job duties as assigned by the FSO to meet requirements.

Required Skills:
  • High School or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Must possess a current, active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to interpret and administer security doctrine, provide clear guidance to company employees, and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate
  • Working knowledge of personnel security administration activities utilizing JPAS
  • Working knowledge of document control procedures to include receiving/transmitting and markings
  • Experience conducting periodic / semi-annual self-inspections IAW NISPOM standards
  • Execute effective security, education, awareness, and training program to include initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre- / post-foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate. Engage with appropriate USG resources as necessary
  • Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other relevant DoD security guidance
  • Ability to interpret and implement security requirements outlined in customer issued DD-254s
  • Ability to prioritize and manage to schedule
  • Effective written, verbal and organization skills
  • High attention to detail

Desired Skills:
  • Experience conducting incident / violation investigations and developing a final report
  • Experience utilizing personnel security management databases (e.g. Access Commander) and/or government databases (ISFD, eFCL)
  • COMSEC experience
  • Experience developing and implementing OPSEC plans
  • Professional Certifications/Affiliations (ISP, NCMS, ASIS)
  • Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities
  • Completed DSS Insider Threat Courses
  • Basic working knowledge on managing an access control system (ACS), intrusion detection system (IDS), and closed caption television (CCTV) systems
