The Global Positioning System Operational Control System (GPS OCX) Raytheon team is seeking a talented Cost Account Manager to support the SMCS IPT. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic.The candidate will be a senior-level Software Manager able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment on GPS OCX. The SMCS IPT partners with Information Assurance/Security, Systems Engineering and other disciplines to provide affordable, cost-effective software solutions to the customer. <?xml:namespace prefix="o"?>

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a multi-discipline, agile, continuous integration environment defining Software Tasks & Schedules. They must have the ability to interact with the SMCS IPT Lead, SMCS Operations manager, GPS Software CPT, Sub-IPT Leads and SMCS Software lead.They will support the response to Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Baseline Change Requests (BCRs). The candidate will support management with EACs and other high-level planning activities. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to follow established SW processes and procedures. The ideal candidate must have the ability to grasp the technical work that must be accomplished and an understanding of the amount of labor required to complete the work. The candidate must be able to communicate complex and diverse engineering topics to senior management. The candidate must have experience with bid models and be able identify risks and opportunities for the work to be executed.

Required Skills:

• EVMS certified

• 6 years’ experience in software planning and execution activities

• 3 years’ experience in a CAM role
• 8 years’ experience with the software development lifecycle

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable interacting with customers and vendors on a technical level
• Proven ability to perform tasking within cost and schedule
• Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as alone
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce and maintain deliverable products
• Ability to interpret system level requirements and decompose into software requirements

Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics or other equivalent fields.
