Job Description

Raytheon, Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a highly motivated engineer toprovide Quality Engineering (QE) support for classified programs at our Aurora, Colorado location.
The QE will be part of a small team of quality engineers responsible for ensuring the quality and success of the delivered hardware, software, and related documentation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·Interfacing with program management, engineering, development, integration and test
·Interfacing with customers and customer representatives
·Participating in program team meetings, peer reviews, and technical reviews
·Reviewing and ensuring effectiveness of program plans, procedures, Raytheon, and contract compliance documents
·Scheduling and conducting program quality management system audits and coordinate program participation in IIS, corporate, and external registrar quality management system audits
·conducting pre- and post-test environment and product configuration audits and ensuring discrepancies are resolved
·Reviewing test plans, test procedures, attending pre- and post-test reviews, witnessing acceptance tests, and ensuring discrepancies are recorded and resolved.
·Identifying and communicating issues and risks to program and managing program Corrective Actions

Required Skills:
  • 6+ years of experience working in multi-discipline, software system development environment
  • Quality experience on ground system development and management, including:
    • Requirements development and management
    • Software development, integration, and test
    • System integration and test
    • Delivery and transition to operations
    • Maintenance and sustainment
  • Quality Management Systems and compliance auditing experience, including AS9100

    Six Sigma certification (minimum Green Belt or company-equivalent)
Must be a U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience in system engineering, developing, integrating and testing software, including COTS integration
Experience with command and control ground systems

  • Experience with multiple satellite command and control ground system software development programs
  • Experience with multiple software development models and methodologies
  • Experience with IBM/Rational tools such as Rational Team Center, ClearCase, and ClearQuest
  • ASQ certification
    Mission Assurance certification
Required Education (including Major):
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar degree
