Job Description

Raytheon is seeking an Information Technology Platform Lead with strong leadership skills for a position on the Infrastructure Engineering Team on the GPS-OCX program – the next-generation GPS constellation ground system. This IT Platform Lead should have a strong Infrastructure background leading teams across development environments. Engaged in information systems design, development, and analysis encompassing two or more of the following areas of technical expertise: programming, application analysis, software development, systems integration, and related disciplines.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US Citizen with current DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor Degree with 10+ years of experience directly related technical leadership in a matrix organization, associated with a large, complex development program
  • Proven ability to understand complex technical issues associated with development environments.
  • Experience with all aspects of management of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDIs) from software perspective
  • Experience with ownership of scheduling activities, de-conflicting, issues management, and testing for VDI updates with platform IPT teams
  • Strong Communication - Requires ability to effectively interact with IT, Engineering and Subcontractor team members on technical issues and ability to brief senior management / customer on technical issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines in support of change control boards
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills along with outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to proactively anticipate and identify needs and expectations of program, IT and Engineering departments
  • Recent proposal experience in setting technical direction, writing proposals and developing Basis of Estimates.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency
  • Communication and diplomatic skills a must; significant interaction with various segments of the program
  • Raytheon EVMS Level II Certification or equivalent

Require Education:

BS Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
