Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community

Job Description:

Raytheon is currently seeking a Sr.Computer Network Technologist I who will be responsible for the ongoing network and system administration and maintenance of a large complex Local Area Network. This position will ensure correct function of network switches/routers, monitor anomalous activity, create/review reports, and support anomaly resolution. Supports engineering efforts for network enhancements, replacement of obsolete equipment, troubleshooting incidents and problems, and performs documentation, drawing, and configuration management updates.

Required Skills:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR possess 12 years equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Proficiency with DNS including ISC BIND, DHCP, and IPAM (subnet provisioning)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, C, C++, Java
  • Familiarity of directory services including LDAP, X.500, DECdns
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Linux (ver. 5-7), Solaris (ver. 9-10), VMS (ver. 7-8)
  • Requires good communication skills to support effective and accurate exchange of information with teammates and customers.
  • Requires ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Must have knowledge, understanding, and experience with configuration of Cisco or Juniper routers and switches, IP addressing, spanning-tree, OSPF and BGP routing
  • Experience with Microsoft tools: Word, Power-Point, Visio
  • Must have a current DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level I (or higher) Certification
Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. Active, current (active within the last five years) or ability to obtain a TS/SCI SSBI security clearance with CI poly and US Citizenship required.

Desired Skills:
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP certification
  • Familiarity with Infoblox
  • Familiarity with HP EMS products including HPOM, NNMI, NA, SA, Sitescope
  • System administration experience with Linux, Solaris, VMS operating systems
  • Proficient with OpenLDAP including client programming in C
  • Experience with IP address management and/or DNS
