The Systems Engineering Process & Execution Lead (SE PEL) is the discipline process lead for the IIS Systems Engineering Directorate. Core responsibilities include development, deployment, and maintenance of EPIC instructions and enablers; collection and reporting of discipline metrics; oversight of various program execution activities such as program tailoring approval, IPDS Gating and the Design Guidance System; and collaboration with other discipline leads for IIS Engineering improvement projects. The SE PEL manages a small team in support of these activities.
As a member of the IIS Systems Engineering Leadership Team, the SE PEL contributes to organizational workforce development by defining knowledge requirements for Systems Engineering, Integration and Test roles; identifying and developing means to train personnel to achieve these requirements; and participating in the selection process of personnel for development opportunities.
The SE PEL is a participating member of the Extended Systems Engineering Council, and contributes to the identification and execution of Enterprise projects. The SE PEL also participates in other Enterprise initiatives, such as AFPD, and serves as a liaison to IIS Systems Engineering.
The SE PEL may be called upon to support program and pursuit special assignments as business priorities emerge. The successful candidate will be able to make strategic improvements while balancing tactical needs. The ideal candidate will individually contribute innovation and develop a flexible and high performing team to respond rapidly changing competitive forces.
