Job Description

Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community

Raytheon is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for Earth Terminal Maintenance systems support that includes system design and engineering, installation and interconnection of systems. The systems are mechanical, electrical, and RF based.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
·Monitor system operation, analyze system performance, and identify deficiencies
·Correct system malfunctions and maintains system health and instruct and demonstrate the use and maintenance of systems
·Make recommendations to engineering and manufacturing concerning improvements to products and correction of deficiencies
·Evaluate and recommend methods of testing, operation, and maintenance of systems
·Will be required to attain and maintain certification for ground terminal operations
·Will work in an open environment where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and peers is ordinary
·Will work a non-traditional work week - 12 hour shifts with a day night rotation for 24/7 coverage and weekends and holidays as schedule dictates

Required Skills:
·Requires a BS Degree preferably in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Math, and/or equivalent related work experience and 2 years of relevant experience or 10 years of experience without a degree
·Upon acceptance this person will enter into a formal certification process
·Requires knowledge, understanding and ability to work on operational systems within an Operational and Maintenance (O&M) industry
·Desire to work in an Operational and Maintenance environment on an
·Requires ability to learn and understand a wide application of technical theories and concepts utilized in the area
·Requires ability to work in a multi-tasking dynamic environment under general direction
·Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating day and night shifts supporting a 7 x 24 mission
·Must be able to distinguish the difference between colors on a computer monitor (specifically red, blue, white, and green)
·Requires the ability to utilize graphical and textual color displays of remote systems to evaluate and respond to mission needs
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
Requires ability to satisfy requirements for and have an active or current (active within the last seven years) TS/SCI SSBI security clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.

Desired Skills:
·Desire 2 years experience with two or more of the following: Electronic systems, Electro-mechanical systems, software applications and/or data processing systems
·Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
·Demonstrated ability to understand existing procedures while looking for ways to improve on them
·Experience performing satellite mission support in a real-time environment
·Experience monitoring and quickly digesting the status of multiple large systems and rapidly reasoning through and prioritizing appropriate responses to real-time situations
·Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify cause and affect relationships
·Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a high pressure work environment

·Must be able to work overtime and off hours as needed
·Must be able to work at a PC for extended periods
