The Team Lead will provide leadership within the Platform and Automation IPT. The Lead is responsible for automation development within a DEVOPS environment, the management of deployment data and configurations of those deployments, and test and verification of multiple complex environments on the GPS OCX Program. The individual is responsible for: maintaining effective staff per plan, schedule definition and work-off per plan, technical and programmatic status & direction including scope definition, SCRUM management within an Agile development and sustainment, team charging coordination and status, metric collection and communication, and coordination with teammates and other leads within the Sub-IPT to ensure program success.Duties and responsibilities include:1) Continuous collaboration across the sub-IPT to ensure deadlines and milestones are on-time, within scope, requirements compliant, and within budget and stakeholder needs.2) Daily collection, understanding, and summarization of team status and assess impacts on GPS OCX milestones. Statuses will be rolled up and communicated to IPT leadership and customers by the sub-IPT lead(s).3) Daily programmatic leadership of a team including Systems Engineering and Software Engineering (including: Java and Database Development).4) Continuous maintenance of team schedule, technical direction, scope, risks and opportunities, DR and CR work-off, and budget through effective delegation and agile tasking.5) Daily coordination with your team to ensure staff tasking is complete, effective, and on-track.6) Continuous updates to Jira backlog and Sprint planning with current Sprint status collected at least daily via standups to assess progress. Agile maintenance containing tasking at least 3 sprints in advance.Required Skills:
- US Citizenship with an active SECRET security clearance.
- A minimum of 9 years industry experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field (Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.); 7 years with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years industry experience providing Technical and Programmatic leadership to a multi-functional team.
- First hand agile experience as a Scrum Master using the Jira Toolset.
- Experience in leading the definition, development, and test of Database and Java code within large complex environments.
- Java & Databases (Oracle) familiarity; hands-on experience is ideal.
- Exceptional communication skills with experience working with a wide range of government customers.
- Familiarity with GPS OCX and its requirements.
- High attention to detail and results oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and delegate effectively.
