Job Description:

The applicant will be responsible for all aspects of Systems Integration for the Continental Divide (CD) program consisting of but not limited to:

Group Systems Engineer (GSE) functions:

Technical review of data entering and/or exiting GTG
• Represent GTG from a technical standpoint at Site Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs),
intergroup coordination meetings, document scrubs, and Engineering Review Boards (ERBs),
• Generate, track, adjudicate comments, and ensure approval of Requests for Change (RFCs)
for applicable internal GTG developments and installations
• Assist GTG Responsible Engineers (REs) in the creation of NSIS compliant system

  • LSP
  • Installation Plan
  • Training Plan
  • SIR
  • FRD
  • NIPD
• Coordinate and facilitate the GTS Customer Meeting
  • Set Customer Meeting agendas
  • Prepare Customer Meeting chart package to include DR metrics charts
  • Archive Customer Meeting chart package and attendance roster
• Act as primary technical interface between external developers and GTG, to include
representing GTG concerns and needs to external agencies
• Review and assess external RFCs for impacts to GTG
  • Maintain database of RFC assessments
  • Provide customer with RFC impacts
• Provide DR assignment, disposition and closure
  • Maintain DR metrics
  • Facilitate quarterly DR Scrubs
• Update and maintain GTS Workgroups in the Distributed Organization and System List
• Assist in Operational Need Statement (ONS) generation, coordination, and tracking to include
representation at Site ONS Review Boards
• Update and maintain group level requirements documents and specifications
• Create form and document templates as necessary
Provide assistance to management on customer-driven, time-sensitive tasks
• Maintain a number of customer-directed performance metrics
• Detailed understanding and communication of GTG system requirements, configurations,
interfaces, operations, and initiatives
• Knowledge of mission requirements and processes, advanced analytical skills, current
technology, and established technical authority
• Management leadership potential
• Provide technical coordination within GTG
• Provide technical leadership, direction, and planning for GTG
• Interface with customers, management, associate contractors, and other Site groups on all
GTG technical matters

(IPOC) functions:

Provide integration support for all external and internal developments and installations affecting
  • SPO-initiated developments
  • Site-initiated projects
  • E2 software maintenance drops and hardware upgrades
• Provide assistance in understanding and executing NSIS and Site processes
• Support and execute NSIS project milestones as appropriate
  • Site Survey
  • System Requirements Review (SRR)
  • Preliminary Design Review / Critical Design Review (PDR/CDR)
  • Pre-Ship Audit / Pre-Ship Review (PSA/PSR)
  • Operational Readiness Review / Transition to Operations (ORR/TTO)
  • Operational Readiness Demonstration (ORD)
  • Installation Status Review (ISR)
  • Operational Acceptance Review (OAR)
  • Formal Qualification Review (FQR)
• Generate, submit, and track Scheduled Maintenance Activities (SMAs) for all GTS activities
• Coordinate GTS activities with other site organizations as required
• Generate and brief GTS chart packages for all applicable Freeze Boards
• Generate, submit, and track site forms in accordance with Site Change Implementation
Faceplate (CIF) process
  • Facilities Data Sheet (FDS)
  • Hardware Change Request (HCR)
  • Timing Attachment Form (TAF)
• Coordinate and facilitate the GTS Integration Integrated Product Team (IIPT) meeting
  • Set IIPT meeting agendas
  • Prepare IIPT chart package
  • Archive project presentations into individual project folders
  • Prepare and distribute IIPT meeting minutes
• Maintain GTS Master Schedule to include all applicable NSIS milestones for all GTS projects
• Track open GTS action items and liens through closure
• Review and track all external SMAs for potential impacts to GTS activities
• Coordinate group review and comment consolidation for Site Operating Instructions (01s)
• Maintain a number of customer-directed performance metrics
• Update and maintain the GTS Integration website
• Generate and maintain GTS Work Instructions for integration related processes
• Work closely with the site Integrated System Engineering (ISE) Division to ensure common
integration process across all Segments

Required Skills:

The applicant shall possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate: team member, customer and associate contractor interaction.

Knowledge of configuration and change management systems and processes.

Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in real-time environment

Ability to take initiative and see tasks through to completion with minimal supervision or

Ability to function well in stressful situations

Desired Skills:

Leadership experience e.g. leading a team and/or project(s)

Required Education (including Major):

Applicant shall possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering and six years or more working in a Systems Engineering environment or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
