Job Description

Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services, located in Richardson, Texas is looking for a candidate to join our world-class engineering team as a Java Developer I. As a candidate for this opportunity you should have a good foundation in Java and be able to use various software tools on HP or SUN workstations in a UNIX or LINUX environment. The candidate should have a fundamental understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process) and Object Oriented analysis, design, and programming.

Performs the activities involved with the requirements gathering, design, development, documenting, interfacing, integration, testing, maintenance, and modification of complex software applications.

Required Skills:
· 4+ years of software development experience with Java
· Java applications deployed to Java Enterprise application/servlet containers (Tomcat, JBoss, etc.)
· Web Service (RESTful, JSON or SOAP) interface definition and implementation
· Object oriented software design
· Linux based server application deployment
· Active TS/SCI clearance or SSBI within 5 years

Desired Skills: (or more highly desirable)
· Experience developing software using Agile development methodologies such as Scrum
· Javascript based web application experience
· Experience with Atlassian/Jira
· Experience with AWS
· Experience implementing Docker containers

Required Education (Including Major):
· B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
