Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services is looking for an experienced Sr Java Engineer to join our world-class engineering team. As a candidate for this opportunity you should have a solid foundation in Java and be able to use various software tools on HP or SUN workstations in a UNIX or LINUX environment. The candidate should have a fundamental understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process) and Object Oriented analysis, design, and programming. This candidate will be transitioning existing capabilities into a commercial cloud framework and will be expected to work as an integrated member of an agile development team leveraging commercial cloud services in innovative ways to solve customer requirements. This individual will play a key part in moving the program forward and will have exposure to the key technologies that will be leveraged within our industry in the future.

Performs the activities involved with the requirements gathering, design, development, documenting, interfacing, integration, testing, maintenance, and modification of complex software applications.
Desired Skills: (2 or more highly desirable)
- 10+ years of software development experience with Java
- Java applications deployed to Java Enterprise application/servlet containers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, etc.)
- JDBC communication with relational databases (Oracle preferred)
- Development, inspection, and manipulation of XML documents conforming to XSD
- Web Service (RESTful or SOAP) interface definition and implementation
- Java development IDE (IntelliJ (preferred), Eclipse, Netbeans, etc.)
- Source control tools associated with defect/issue tools (source control: GIT (preferred), Mercurial, Clearcase. defect trackers: JIRA (preferred), Clearquest)
- Linux based server application deployment
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
· Team member on Agile Scrum development program
· SOAP based web services (WS-Security experience highly desirable)
· Ozone Widget Platform/Framework widget development
· Lead role as a software design engineer and/or architect experience
· Development and integration with business process management tools (Activitii (preferred), JBPM, etc.)
Required Education (including Major):
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
