Case Management – Position Description
Primary responsibility is supporting the customer in processing case files under the information review and release programs: Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and the Executive Order Mandatory Review. Knowledge of and experience in case management work and electronic cases is desirable. Attention to detail is a must.
The candidate will support the customer in setting up a spreadsheet of open cases and determining where the case is in the workflow and reaching out to internal and external components or other government agencies to determine the status pending document reviews with those offices/agencies. The customer is focused on reducing the backlog of open cases for the program and communications with other components is critical in reducing the overall backlog. In addition, the candidate will be available to handle their own caseload if requested.

Minimum Required Skills/Experience
*Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Contractors and Customer management and staff, both internally within this organization and with outside agencies
*Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team member sharing information and knowledge with the team.
*Attention to detail is a must in managing the overall task of identifying the status of each case in the backlog
*Must be able to adapt to a fast paced office environment and be able to quickly understand the processes and requirements of each access program.
*Ability to become familiar with the various information review and release automated systems in the performance of their tasks
*Must have an understanding of security requirements and be able to adhere to them
*Strong customer service skills
*Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
*Ability to rapidly master overall production workflow
*Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities
*Must have the ability to communicate in a professional manner and to support daily interaction with customer, senior management, staffers and other contractors
*Experience in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel - Must be proficient in Excel

Desired Skills/Experience:
*Knowledge of customer databases preferred or similar FOIA case management application
*Good organizational skills – organizing workload and tasks
*Responding to requests for reports by the customer in a timely manner
*Good reading comprehension and writing skills
*Ability to use computers and conduct research in electronic databases and document the results

Education: Four year college degree or High School diploma with 8 years work experience in information access programs.

Must be a US Citizen and have an active TS/SCI clearance with FSP (from day one of employment) and be crossover eligible. 110040
