Leidos is currently seeking a Sustainment Engineering Manager to support an upcoming initiative for one of our largest DoD customers. This position requires 7+ years experience managing and supervising employees on a DoD enterprise database projects using the Agile lifecycle methodology. It will require the ability to provide Sustainment Engineering Support Management including Cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework to RCAS, which is a fielded ACAT I system that enables the Army Reserve Component units to perform five administrative functions: Mobilization, Safety and Occupational Health, Personnel Support, Force Authorization, and Application Support/Back Office. The RCAS Sustainment Engineering Manager maintains the system baselines and software applications to ensure security and software product updates and releases adhere to cost controls, mutually agreed upon schedules, and acceptable technical quality. Successful candidates... Must demonstrate proven knowledge of the DoD/Army Common Operating Environment, Windows 10 Migration activity, Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative / Data Center Consolidation and Optimization, Joint Regional Security Stacks, and Network Convergence in a time constrained environment is critical. Can successfully identify and provide system sustainment services for RCAS software applications and database applications that are necessary to enhance, integrate, implement, and maintain the RCAS solution. Also provides transition support of the RCAS applications, as required, to sunset those designated applications identified by IPPS-A or any other Army entity to be subsumed. Will possess proven experience prioritizing and managing work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment, developing new approaches to complex design problems. Experience translating requirements into project plans and milestones compatible with earned value management (EVM) requirements, directing and implementing plans, with proven communication skills to present oral and written project status/plan briefings to the Government and corporate managers.
EDUCATION Must hold an appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment. B.S., Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information systems or equivalent. Experience implementing innovative approaches to fulfilling requirements with current technologies and providing clear, technical guidance and direction to staff which lead to resolving difficult-to-solve technical problems. Experience prioritizing and managing work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment, developing new approaches to complex design problems. Required Certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Security Requirements: Must be able to pass the National Agency Check with written Inquiries (NACI), National Trust, and a favorable completion of a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check, or a DoD/DoE-determined equivalent investigation, or greater. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance at contract start Possess the ability to obtain a Top Secret level security clearance Desired Certifications: IEEE s Certified Software Development Professional or similar certification. Cisco or Oracle certifications Education: B.S., Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information systems or equivalent.
