The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a continuing requirement for Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services, amp; Support (SENS3) for the continued operations and maintenance and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). This requirement was previously called Enterprise Networked Services Support (ENSS). Supporting the SENS3 management team, the selected individual will be responsible for providing Service Asset Configuration Management services for all IT Engineering and Operations functions to include the following: - Conduct inventories of HSDN and C-LAN IT infrastructure assets; - Update inventories when performing MAC requests, establishing a new site, and performing other service requests and updates from site visits throughout the year; - Provide positive physical control of warehouse inventory and access control by project personnel to the contractor s warehouse, in accordance with Federal policies for handling of classified material; - Maintain a record and a hand receipt of assets transferred to the custody of individual users; - Recommend the type, vendor, quantity, and schedules for purchasing equipment and supplies to meet the needs of users and technology refreshment; - Provide support to the Government (using a Government-approved purchasing system) for the acquisition of hardware, software, and network equipment; - Provide support to the Government in negotiating favorable terms for licensing terms and warranties for IT assets; - Track the status of all IT infrastructure procurements until the capability is deployed in the production environment and transitions to O amp;M; - Schedule and perform routine maintenance, repair, and logistics support for all HSDN and C-LAN peripherals within Contiguous United States (CONUS); - Maintain an inventory of supplies for hardware devices, including spare parts (e.g., hard disks, cables) for use with devices deployed on C-LAN, HSDN, and A-LAN; - Submit return material authorizations (RMAs) for assets to be repaired or replaced by the servicing vendor under warranty.
- 9+ years experience in inventory, validation, reconciliation, and maintenance of enterprise service assets and licenses; - Experience applying standard asset control such as tagging, barcoding, or RFID to establish a highly accurate configuration mana - DHS experience Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
