Leidos has a career opportunity for a Unit Training Manager at Shaw AFB. Candidates must already possess a current Secret clearance. Description: The successful applicant will assist Joint Task Force (JTF) and Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) planners prepare for forward deployed combat operations and exercise events. Applicants will review and update student/permanent party records, folders and grade books per the applicable Air Force Instructions (AFI 11-202V1 and AFI 11-2MDS-V1), associated ACC supplements, and locally-developed guidance; interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) personnel to update the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS); and administer classes and exams as required. Applicants will coordinate with scheduling to ensure deployment personnel are scheduled for mandatory, prerequisite and refresher pre-deployment training requirements; perform weekly individual gradebook checks of personnel training and ancillary training requirements; and prepare and execute periodic training/testing plans for approval and scheduling and assist in the development of new curriculum and syllabi for aircrew and ground training. Applicants will provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (as required) and brief senior leaders (as necessary) regarding personnel flight and readiness status; duty status; performance reports reflecting qualifications and certification status; probation/regression status; and decoration accomplishment. This position requires extensive knowledge of Combatant Command and Service Specific Pre-Deployment training requirements, and the systems used to track/report training.
Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant Air Force or Army / USMC units inclusive of 5 years unit training management experience—preferably in conjunction with a Joint assignment . Bachelor’s degree is preferred and a minimum of US SECRET security clearance. TA_2
