The Health Products and Solutions Group is currently seeking a System Architect to support a large healthcare contract in Baltimore.
The selected candidate will become a member of a team of architects and engineers providing solutions in support of new business opportunities and program execution within the Leidos Health Group. The primary focus will be to align with our Health Products and Solutions organization in supporting their business opportunities and operational efforts for Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This position involves developing IT-based solutions to customer needs, participating in proposal activities, and engaging operational programs as needed. The candidate will use their knowledge
and experience in system design and agile development to develop and shape architectural solutions and lead system design activities. The right candidate will embrace innovation as a means to improve CMS's ability to achieve its mission.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This sub family is responsible for the analysis and evaluation of user business problems and the development of system recommendations to meet requirements. Analyzes current and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems. Duties include coordinating with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of user acceptance, and may coordinate testing and system controls. IMPACT: Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results. Recommends and develops new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of function’s strategy and operations. Leads and manages works of other technical staff that has significant impact on project results/outputs. COMPLEXITY: Resolves highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation. Develops solutions that are highly innovative, and achieved through research and integration of best practices. COMMUNICATION: Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project. Works to convince others to accept area’s view/current practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices and approaches. LEADERSHIP amp; TALENT MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE: Has in-depth understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts and their application across range of programs. BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
