The Defense and Intelligence Group is seeking a CAD (Computer Aided Design) Specialist to support a client’s operational requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The position requires a current secret clearance and the willingness to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. There is no exception to the clearance requirement.
Successful candidates will work well in team environments and will be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to effectively interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization and communicate effectively with the client.
A Bachelor’s Degree with 5-8 years of prior relevant experience with CAD is required. Substitute 5 years experience in lieu of degree.
In addition to the clearance requirement, successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in all aspects computer assisted design. Experience with SolidWorks is desired, but not required. Experience developing CAD models from photographs, photogrammetry and/or experience using CAD with aerodynamic or missile systems is a plus. The CAD Specialist is responsible for completing lays outs, drawing, and revising detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics. Work is completed through computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD and SolidWorks.
