Job Description


The Defense and Intell Group is seeking candidates for an Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Modeling and Simulation (M amp;S) Engineer in Beavercreek, Ohio.

The Leidos Mission Operations Portfolio Office in Beavercreek Ohio is seeking an engineer with experience in developing electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) signatures of space systems. The engineer shall produce robust, all-source electro-optical signature assessments of foreign deep space objects. The scope of this effort shall include engineering support to produce electro-optical signature assessments of foreign RSOs using all-source information and government off the shelf signature prediction tools. The candidate will need to adhere to modeling procedures including, but not limited to, verification/evaluation of signature predictions against available measured data, production of standardized plots and tabular listings, and summary of methodology/key findings in a written report.


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 3-5 years of related experience are required. A Master’s degree in Engineering is desired.
* Must have at least 3-5 years in modeling and simulation of EO/IR signatures of space systems.
*Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
*A background in simulating space systems for ground-to-space and space-to-space scenarios is strongly desired.
*Experience with analyzing measured data for these systems and scenarios are a plus.
* Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to work individually and with teams are also required.
