The Defense amp; Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Network Engineer in Casteau, Belgium.
This position is structured as a Temporary Duty Assignment. Additional work in a regular expatriate status may be available beginning in February. The Network Engineer will be part of the Leidos team in support of the G2 Army MI Enterprise contact, which provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems.
•Perform integration of new technologies into data center, local and wide area networks.
•Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems.
•Manage daily operations and assist with all matters related to data center, local and wide area networks within span of control.
•Provide diagnostic support using network analysis tools.
•Provide fault isolation and incident resolution support for networks.
•Provide technical support in the configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of routers, switches, and overall network and long haul communication circuit support.
•Test and evaluate support for new technology.
•Prepare reports detailing the results of the test and evaluation including specific recommendations.
•Design, document, and provide technical solutions to customers for classified and unclassified networks.
•High School diploma/GED with 10+ years of recent related specialized experience, OR Associate's degree with 8+ years of specialized experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of specialized experience.
•Hands-on experience and up to date skills with Cisco Routers, Switches, firewalls and load balancers.
•Deep knowledge of IP stack and its protocols, routing (including OSPF and BGP), switching, IPSEC, remote access and hardening of network devices.
•Working knowledge of both KG-175D and KG-175A TACLANEs encryption devices.
•Currently possess DoD 8140/8570.1-M IAT/IAM Baseline Certification: IAT Level II - Must have one of the following: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+|ce, or SSCP.
•Currently possess CCNA certification (or higher) to satisfy a computing environment certification requirement.
•Currently possess a DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
•Ability to qualify for SOFA status in Belgium.
•Working knowledge of Cisco Nexus Data Center switch architecture and configuration.
•Experience with SNMP, Network Monitoring systems as well as network documentation and design.
•Team management experience.
•Experience working with demanding, high ranking customers and their staff.
