Job Description


The Health Products and Solutions Operation currently has an opening for a Systems Integration Engineer to support a large healthcare contract in Rockville, MD. This position is contingent on contract award.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide engineering support for the design and enhancements to customer managed data centers.
Plan and support the installation of network equipment, voice and data network cable plant, WAN circuit(s).
Plan and engineer all requirements to ensure new or enhanced data center functionality.
Conduct site surveys to develop plans to include identifying the new / upgraded data center layout, space considerations, cable plant layout, and structural considerations. This includes identifying and documenting available power, physical, environmental, and security constraints.
For all approved New / Enhanced Data Center projects, deliver a project plan of activities, milestones, and timelines for project completion.
For all approved New / Enhanced Data Center projects, design and support implementation of approved New / Enhanced Data Center plans.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and eight (8) years of general experience. Six (6) years of general experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. With a Master's degree, six (6) years of general experience is required. With a PhD, 4 year of general experience is required.

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience Administering or Designing Software Defined Data Center with emphasis on the networking aspects. Specific emphasis on Private Cloud designs.
• Advanced knowledge of Designing and defining SDN networks across a wide variety of platforms including Cisco with specific knowledge of VM Ware NSX, Nuage or other similar virtualization applications.
• Expertise in public and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Expert level advisor to customers on SDN and private / public / hybrid cloud interfaces.
• Expert in Software Defined Networks and Network Virtualization.
