Individual will be the unit's SIGINT systems expert in relation to research, development and implementation of manned and unmanned airborne SIGINT and related systems. Provides Acquisition Intelligence requirements analysis and recommendations to government acquisition authorities and senior staff on matters involving air, space, and cyberspace analysis, production, and strategy for developing airborne and ground ISR/SIGINT and related systems within the specific area of expertise. Applies expert knowledge and mastery of SIGINT-specific theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives, costs, schedules, performance criteria, and existing policies. Evaluates both classified and unclassified information to understand U.S./coalition and adversary strengths, weaknesses, and centers of gravity. Interprets data and makes analytic judgments on broad-based and domain/discipline-agnostic intelligence products, applications, capabilities, and resources within assigned/defined domain or functional areas of responsibility. Interacts with the program's design, development, and sustainment specialists to expand knowledge and familiarity with the technical intricacies and intelligence needs of critical components of the SIGINT ISR system and support equipment. Applies experimental theories, new applications or developments to improve operations and/or resolve unique or complex/controversial problems, conditions, or issues. Assigned projects are of such nature that the incumbent is required to work in areas where precedent, data, criteria, methods, or techniques are inadequate, controversial, or contain critical gaps. Ensures timely, complete, sufficient, and accurate intelligence analysis, information and support are provided to and integrated into acquisition and sustainment processes. Uses a range of specialized tactics, techniques, procedures, and methods to determine the best approach to accomplish difficult analytical taskings. Decomposes SIGINT ISR system performance specification and planned employment in order to define intelligence requirements, including information, resources, and infrastructure, required to develop, employ, and sustain the system throughout its life-cycle. Utilizes results of reviews to independently develop and recommend appropriate courses of action for both the program/project office managers and the IC. Provides USSOCOM/ACC/AFSOC programs/initiatives with high quality intelligence and intelligence support. Teams with engineering, scientific, information technology, and operational research personnel to apply analytical techniques of science, management, electronics, and systems engineering to perform cross-program analysis of intelligence requirements for planned SIGINT ISR system/capability research and development, testing, life-cycle management, and sustainment.
Required Skills: Candidates must possess 6+ years of related experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience. Must possess thorough awareness of manned and unmanned SIGINT ISR systems' planned modes of operation, to include the utilization of all weapon systems and subsystems, primarily through study of the concept of operation (CONOPS), requirements documentation, and system specifications. Understands and participates in the Defense Acquisition Process by identifying the intelligence supportability needs of a SIGINT ISR system or program across the entire acquisition life-cycle Individual should be able to substantiate significant and relevant relationship between previous jobs held and SOF military SIGINT operator or analyst duties. Must have the ability to work independently and function as part of a dynamic team. The candidate must also communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
