Job Description


Leidos is seeking a JAVA Developer to support our Treasury Program within the Treasury Solutions amp; Development (TSD) Organization. Work can be performed remotely in either Dallas, TX or Austin, TX and may require some onsite hours. The JAVA Developer will research, design, develop, and/or modify application software to integrate disparate systems for a Federal Government agency, will create and maintain technical documentation in support of the project and will maintain correspondence imaging and scanning work. The selected candidate will perform configuration management tasks, will assemble the releases of the code base and will create and maintain the AMS interfaces with other IRS systems. The candidate must be able to create UML design documentation and assist development team during implementation and unit testing, must have working knowledge of Relational Database design and operation and must be able to perform design and code reviews. The selected candidate will be flexible and adaptable, will be able to develop using a wide variety of methods and technologies, will feel comfortable interacting with clients, and will have strong analytical and verbal communication skills. We are seeking a candidate who is detail oriented, has a good understanding of connection pooling, and has experience with multi-threaded applications and large scale systems.


Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
