The Defense amp; Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a AIT Shipboard Installer amp; Field Technician 1 at Chesapeake, VA.
JOB SUMMARY:Shipboard installation Tech 1 will serve as member of an Alteration Installation Team (AIT) and duties will include, but not be limited to banding cableways, pulling cables, assembling and testing of MCTs/MCPs on US Navy Ships.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Work as a team player on an electrical team consisting of 2-20 individuals working as a team to complete a job in a shipboard environment •Complete pulling cables and banding in a timely manner •Complete building MCTs/MCPs and government check points with limited supervision (Multi Cable Transit/Multi Cable Penetration)•Ability to learn to read drawings •Ability to travel with limited notice and for extended periods of time •Use of basic hand tools, also while working in the overhead on a ladder•Basis knowledge and computer skills•Interact with ships force and government personnel in a professional manner

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: •High School diploma or equivalent.•Ability to travel with limited notice.•Ability to be on extended travel.•Basic knowledge of general hand tools.•Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts in support of operations, with the possibility of working up to 60 hours a week at times to include overtime. •Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: •Secret security clearance. •Shipboard experience a plus but not required. •Valid Drivers License.•Valid Passport.
