Description:The Public Health Operations is currently seeking a Deputy project Director for Operations to support a large healthcare contract. This position is contingent upon contract award.
This position would emphasize USAID project management experience and skills. The Deputy Director/Operations will be well versed in USAID regulations and procedures. He/she will provide financial, contractual and management oversight for all IDDS project activities. The responsibilities include organizing and responding to USAID/Washington and Mission requests of task order or ‘buy-in’ budgets, designing and implementing a financial management and reporting system that segregates funding sources and overseeing management aspects of any overseas offices. The Deputy Director/Operations will also be responsible for meeting Annual and Semi-annual reporting requirements and supervision of project support staff. Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications include:
· A Master’s degree in finance, public policy or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in the management of complex, multi-country projects
· Strong knowledge and application of Federal procurement rules, USAID project management systems and implementing contractor’s systems.
· Previous experience managing/implementing USAID projects in a country context highly desirable
