The Candidate will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of a new enterprise disaster recovery infrastructure. The Candidate will maintain the hardware and software systems to include the storage area network (SAN) and Enterprise Tape Libraries and ensure availability, reliability, and performance. General tasks include working with customers to define and document requirements, implement disaster recovery jobs, periodically test recovery operations, replace failed tape, SAN, and other hardware components, perform regular maintenance, swap tapes per the developed schedule, manage SAN-to-SAN replication schedules, and other related tasks.
Required Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or related field and 15+ years experience. 8+ years of Disaster Recovery Administration experience; hands-on experience with enterprise tape libraries and supporting software. Knowledge of and experience with SAN storage including fiber channel technology. Candidates must be able to accurately explain elements of enterprise storage implementations including multi-pathing, the function of LUNs and best practice considerations, RAID and the pros and cons of each RAID level. Experience supporting a multi-petabyte storage environment.
Desired Qualifications: Experience with Quantum iScaler Tape Libraries. Experience with NetApp FAS series cluster mode and associated hardware. Experience with NetApp E-series hardware. Experience with Commvault Simpana integrated data management system. Experience with Brocade fiber channel switches and Brocade Network Advisor (BNA). Ability to lead technical teams to success.
