The Advanced Solutions Group of Leidos has an opportunity for a talented Test Engineer to join our team at a customer site on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
As the Test Engineer for the Command Post of the Future (CPOF) Software Sustainment program; you will support Post Production Software Support (PPSS) efforts, including resolution of Software Change Requests (SCRs) and Software Problem Reports (SPRs), operation/maintenance of the Development Software Support Environment (DSSE), Certification and Accreditation efforts, CPOF software capabilities and interfaces with current and future weapons platforms. Successful candidates will possess some expertise with one or multiple software baselines for Tactical Mission Command (TMC), Strategic Mission Command (SMC), Battle Command 10 (BC10) and Mission Command 13 (MC13). We have a rapidly growing dynamic team at our Aberdeen location supporting various customers within the C4ISR community.
-Perform integration and testing with SMC Common Infrastructure Software Services.
-Provide Technical support and integration of the Battle Command (BC) software capabilities and interfaces with current and future TMC and SMC common infrastructure services software applications/components.
-Conduct technical feasibility studies, evaluations, investigations, analyses, and assessments of software requirements, products and evaluate new software development methods to include implementation of simulation models, establishment of benchmarks, prototypes, and test software/hardware.
-Provide support to setup and manage Software Integration and Test facilities operations.
-Support the development of test and integration plans that document the planning and execution of at a minimum test activities to include: loading software onto target environment; configuring and conducting configuration management on system/software under test
-Provide support for simulation test feed specification, configuration, staffing; testing in a non-radiating as well as radiating environment; and demonstrating systems in a relevant environments.
-Provide on-site engineering support for training exercises, tests, or experimentations. The Contractor shall provide technical guidance and support to system users.
-Support C3TD sustainment requirements for the following CPOF and BCCS capabilities. Support includes debugging, troubleshooting, development and issues resolution, integration, testing, certification, documentation, and deployment of defined capabilities.
-Evaluate, define, develop and test ABCS data dissemination paradigms to address ABCS Domain Interoperability and Exchange Requirements including correlation and de-confliction, classification, security, and releasability.
-Support testing solutions for the virtualization of the Core Infrastructure hardware and storage components deployed to Army Units.
-Identify, download, analyze, implement, and conduct testing of the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) against the Battle Command products.
-Provide automation, STIGing/IAVMS, documentation, testing, as well as updates to the baseline products.
-Assess, evaluate, analyze and report the results of verification and validation compliancy testing of Battle Command products to provide automated compliance reporting for the STIGs.
-Test automation solutions supporting Army Regulations and C3TD policies that address patch management, host monitoring, Host Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS), policy enhancement, offline patch management, compliance checking (STIGS), compliance reporting, vulnerability audits, and remediation.
-Analyze reported problem(s) and reproduce the reported problem in the test environment. The Contractor shall analyze any proposed change or enhancement and provide recommendation for remediation.
-Provide documentation detailing all procedures used in modifying and testing the software of the target system(s) IAW with CDRL DI-MISC-80508B/F001 Technical Report -Study Services.
-Prepare for and witness software tests such as Preliminary Qualification Tests, Formal Qualification Tests, Contractor Test and other testing as required, and provide an evaluation of software test results documentation IAW CDRL DI-MISC-80508B/ F001.
-A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or engineering discipline and 4+ years relevant work experience.
-Possess 3-5 years in a technical role within a Java/JSP environment.
-Experience in planning and executing functional, operational, and/or performance scalability tests on hardware, software, and systems.
-Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
-Experience testing web services and SOA applications with a working knowledge of SOAP, REST, XML, and XSLT.
-Experience with test automation tools such as STAF/STAX and Python.
-Experience with Java memory profiling and analysis.
-Integration and Test expertise in the operational lab architecture necessary for successful integration and test activities. Requires recent functional experience with how data flows through the network to include to and from external networks and systems that comprise the Army Battle Command Systems family of systems.
-Candidate must have the ability to travel within the Continental United States for 10-25% of the time to support customer requirements.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance.
-Familiarity in setting up and managing the operation and maintenance of Development Software Support Environments.
-Have experience with CoMotion/CPOF application component integration amp; testing.
-Possess skills and knowledge in software engineering and in specific functional areas (e.g., Geospatial, Command and Control (C2), Integration amp; Test facilities support, Process Improvement, and Information Assurance (IA)).
