The System Administrator/Engineer will be a member of the NMIC Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES) team and will serve as the System Administrator for the Maritime Intelligence Environment (MIE) Systems Support Task. The work location is Suitland, MD; an active TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.
The System Administrator/Engineer will support the NITES Program as needed utilizing their qualifications and specific skill set. This work is in Suitland, MD. An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this role.
•Install new and rebuild existing servers, and configure hardware, peripherals and services, settings and storage in accordance with standards and project requirements.
•Assure daily backup operations complete successfully and all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
•Support production systems as required by optimizing performance, resolving production problems, and providing timely follow-up on reported problems.
•Resolving customer issues that are moderately complex, integrating several technologies, ensuring service availability, and handling quality, outage management, subscription management and correlation of usage and charges.
•Review system logs assuring optimal performance; maintaining documentation
•Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: (the “must have” requirements to be considered for hire)
•BA/BS or CNSSI/NTSSI 4115/4016, or military training (NEC 2791 or 2710 or 2765 or 2766 or 9225 or 9229 or 9298 or 3371, CYBR1005, NETW4001).•Active TS/SCI clearance
•A minimum of GSEC, Security+ (CE) or SSCP industry certification (or education)
•2+ years of experience in Information Systems with specific focus on application administration
•4+ years of experience with systems administration in a Linux and UNIX (Solaris 10+) environment including shell script development and debugging
•4+ years’ experience with systems administration on Windows 2008, 2012 and/or 2016 server
•4+ years technical experience/knowledge of installation, configuration, and security of server environment
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Knowledge of ISSE/CHETX Cross Domain solution, virtual objects and/or Business Objects
