The Software Developer will be a member of the NMIC Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES) team and will serve as the Software Engineer for the Maritime Intelligence Environment (MIE) Systems Support Task. Performs development, testing, implementation, and support of application systems.
Assist in definition of project tasks; performs change impact analysis tasks.
Assists in the creation of comprehensive unit test plans and creates and executes test cases in line with test plans.
Performs design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions.
Lends expertise to design, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and modifying of computer programs of moderate complexity, significance, and risk.
Performs investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures.
Monitors operating efficiency of existing systems; documents installation and operating procedures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: (the "must have” requirements to be considered for hire)
•BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline•4+ years of experience in design, development and programming.•Software Engineering experience to include substantive Java J2EE, PHP. Java, Perl and SQL programming and relational database skills for maintaining and developing web-based and other system applications.•A minimum of CSSLP or ECSP industry certification (or education)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS •Security+ (CE) preferred
