Job Description

The Special Projects Division of Leidos currently has a career opening for an Electronics Technician providing onsite support for multiple manned aerial platforms being delivered to our customer at OCONUS locations.
POSITION SUMMARY:The job of the Electronics Technician consists of the responsibility for engineering support and servicing of an airborne imaging sensors as well as depot level assembly, integration and testing of components. The ideal candidate will perform tasks in the design, manufacture, and installation of aircraft cabling and subcomponents.
  • Specific duties will include but not be limited to; fabrication, troubleshooting, interface design, and testing of mission systems and subcomponents.
  • Will create, build, assemble, modify and/or repair prototypes.
  • Work closely with the drafting team to ensure what is built matches what is drawn, and reports any issues or needed changes found during installation.
  • Assists the design team with part selection/recommendations during new builds.
  • Interprets cable harness drawing requirements and applies practices from referenced standards.

Required Education / Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience.
  • AA degree in related discipline and 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience must include an understanding of basic electronics principles and theory and must be proficient with test equipment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security+ Certification.
To be considered for this position candidates must:
  • Be willing to relocate to Harrisonburg, Virginia area
  • Be able to obtain a passport or visa to travel internationally
  • Be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS
  • Be willing to work in Hardship and Hazardous locations
  • Be willing to work long hours and / or non-regular hours with minimal notice
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security+ Certification.
