Job Description


The Defense amp; Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Jr. Systems Administrator at The Pentagon in the National Capital Region.


Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in supporting the G2 Army MI Enterprise which provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. The successful candidate will provide Systems Administration, Help Desk and Microsoft Hyper-V support services for an organization comprised mostly of a Microsoft Enterprise software environment residing on multiple networks. Support includes Microsoft Hyper-V, Incident Tickets, Service Requests, Change Requests, and Identity Management Requests (Public Key Infrastructure and Centralized Directory Registrar related) for both on-site and off-site personnel.


•Provide support with new system design, testing, and implementation.

•Provide Tier I/Tier II contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems.

•Troubleshoot and provide problem resolution of software issues.

Assist with set-up, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor servers.

•Assist with network security through the implementation of STIGs and actively maintain IAVA compliance.

•Provide support services such as data protection (backup and systems security), Microsoft Windows 2008 Active Directory (to include Group Policy management), SMS/SCCM, WSUS, DHCP, DNS, Microsoft Exchange services, client imaging, file and print services, and other server/network application services.



•Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of related technical experience. Additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

•Large Enterprise-level IT Experience in supporting multiple Operating Systems and environments.

•Knowledge of IT service desk requirements and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.

•Currently possess DoD 8570 certification at IAT II, Security+ce.

•Currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.


•Currently possess Microsoft certifications.

•Currently possess ITIL v3 certification.

•Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V.
