The Security and Transportation Technology Business Unit currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineering Intern. We are interested in a student who is motivated to learn and gain experience in an engineering environment. Successful candidate will receive hands-on experience and mentoring by Managers, Designers and Engineers. Candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in support of technical or administrative assignments using established procedures. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: new product design, detail drawings, and solid modeling using Solidworks.
Position is 40 hours per week through the summer.
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program from an accredited university pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Individual must possess strong self initiative, interpersonal and communication skills and have a minimum one year of mechanical engineering school.
Must be a US Citizen, and be able to successfully pass a U.S. Treasury background investigation (BI) and obtain required clearance. Also, must be able to obtain a Security Clearance from other federal government agencies, including TSA.
