Leidos has a career opportunity for a Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Staff Analyst to support United States Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT) at Shaw Air Force Base (AFB) in Sumter, South Carolina. The SIGINT Staff Analyst will provide support to field current and emerging Air Force SIGINT systems and coordinate the integration of new systems with existing technologies into the USAFCENT Area of Responsibility (AOR). The SIGINT Staff Analyst will assist with the review and development of Concepts of Operation / Concepts of Employment, provide support for developing force posture concepts to satisfy critical SIGINT requirements, and provide briefings on SIGINT infrastructure requirements to sustain combat capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to support our nation’s operations in the CENTCOM AOR. The SIGINT Staff Analyst provides support throughout the CENTCOM AOR to deployed SIGINT assets. The work involves various aspects of SIGINT ranging from extremely basic through modern advanced technologies. Currently, support in the form of sensor and manpower modifications is provided to traditional SIGINT platforms such as the RC-135 V/W RIVET JOINT, the U-2 Dragon Lady, Air Handler and G-mesh. Support is also provided for the staffing, beddown and employment of non-traditional platforms such as the Red Falcon, or SnowStorm / StormChaser. The SIGINT Staff Analyst executes critical information exchanges at various lateral and higher echelons during SIGINT-centric Video Teleconferences (VTCs), conferences, and via email and telephone, as well as by pulling information from over 11 years of AFCENT unit experience.
  • 8 years’ of related experience
  • Experience working on a command staff
  • Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts/Science, or a related field (in lieu of education, four years of additional, relevant experience may be considered equivalent)
  • Formal DoD intelligence school graduate
  • Ability to work on several simultaneous tasks, reacting constructively to new and changing intelligence requirements
  • High level of self-motivation, productiveness and personal organization
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS for short TDY assignments (about 15%)
  • TS/SCI Clearance required on day one
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be customer service oriented and possess demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • 4+ years’ experience specializing in CENTCOM AOR
  • Air Force EC-130H or RIVET JOINT experience
  • In depth understanding of relationship between Joint Staff, Joint Commands, Major Commands, Task Forces, and national / service intelligence agencies
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Air Operations Center (AOC) activities and functions
